[OC] Italina Moonborn (+read desc)

Captain Italina - Moonborn Pirate Captain

Born to a proud, Southern Italian (trade captain / ship captain / sailor), and raised on the salty waters of the (Mediterranean / Tyrrhenian / Adriatic / Ionian), Italina was more or less born to be a pirate. The night she was born, her father rinsed her in the waves of the (xxxx) beaches. Moments after, her eyes peeled open wide as a white full moon illuminated her face, wholly entrancing her with its beauty. The waves seemed to hold still as her eyes remained locked. Soon after, she was discovered to have the moon's ability to control tides.

Italina (or Ita, as she prefers) grew up knowing little about her mother and background. When it came time for her to learn to sail, she did so with the expertise and confidence of a seasoned captain. She was named Captain (Ita / Moonborn) on the spot, and took over leadership of her father's crew. She now uses her tidal abilities to steer her pirate crew to unimaginable riches, while also scouring the seven seas for the truth of her past and abilities.

My newest OC—a young, freckle faced pirate with green hair, the power to control the tides, and no idea where she came from. Ita (she hates being called Italina) started as one of those "just draw and see what happens" characters. Halfway through, I got a great tip on drawing expressions from slimyytrash (I'm not too good at expressions). I tried to draw a sort of entranced look, like she's just captivated by something—in this case, the moon. I also wanted to do some HEAVY lighting, so I tried to get the look of the moon shining right down on her, and her eyes glowing blue; they glow when she uses her powers

In her culture, people dye their hair different colors for different reasons. Her black hair, with it's naturally waviness and crinkled bangs, was dyed green in honor her seaweed bed she used as a child. But could there be another reason?  

Any and all constructive critiques are welcome and encouraged! I'm always looking to improve my art! For example, there should be more white on the top of her hair as that's where the light source is coming from, and all my drawings seem too lean to the right???

First off, I am going to be opening commissions soon, but not until I can get a price point on my work. 
I work in traditional right now, and colored pencils cost some dough. So until I find out how much art I can 
make with one pencil, I'll be running the black market I mean doing art trades  
Keep in mind, one of my biggest goals with art trades is to get familiar with all sorts of styles, techniques, color 
palettes, and more. In that sense, if you'd like to help me even more, please make me draw something that
includes a weakness of mine! (what am I doing to myself)
